Birthday Gift, First Freebies

I still have a birthday hang-over (as if I had a big party, LOL) so I decided to give you some freebies. You see, a day before my birthday, I signed-up for a 3-month membership at three digital scrapping clubs: http://janniscrapdesigns.blogspot.com/, http://nanas-attic.blogspot.com/, and http://www.sugarshackscraps.com/. By being a member, you will be able to download their beautiful kits. Anyway, yesterday on my birthday, I received my confirmation as member and received the passwords from them. I was overwhelmed. I downloaded some stuffs right away. The membership is only $6 or PhP245 (just $2 a month). And since I was informed today that the deadline for my writing assignment at CSM has been moved. I was overjoyed. Hence, I was inspired to make two QPs from Anita's (nanas-attic) and Janice's (Janniscrap) kits. I also made some sample layouts.

Now, here's a layout that I made using Nana's "Faded Treasures" kit. This QP is 8x8 in size at 300dpi, PNG files.

This is Bethel, she's the daughter of our friends, Helen (aka Juani) and Josh. She was born on June 2007 and it was only last Sunday, January 27, that I saw her in person. What an adorable baby!

Hope you enjoy all those freebies. I have other QPs in my drive. You see, making QPs is my "conditioner". When I want to start writing, layouting, or editing videos (or whatever task that needs some extraction of creative juices from my brain), I need to do something else first that will inspire me and start-up my momentum. Before, my "conditioners" were washing and ironing clothes. Since, there's someone else doing those stuff for me now, making QPs has been the replacement and I done a lot already. Most QPs are uploaded at http://victorianquickpageparlor.blogspot.com/, as I've mentioned yesterday. The others I will post here but I will have to ask permission from the designers first (I usually send the QPs to the designers and most are available for download in their own blogs. Since I have my own blog now, I'll tell them about it.

Hurray! Today is my birthday and I want to make this memorable by having a blog. So, to begin my blog journey, I will post three digital scrapbook pages that I made today. I have a scrapbook project of my geneology and here are some of the contents of our family heritage book.

Okay, I'm a member of Netta's (aka Creative Victorian) Creative Team (CT). She was actually the one who encouraged me to have a blog. I made this heritage bragbook for her Victorian Quickpage Parlor's blog. If you want the QuickPages (QPs), there are 12 of them, including the front and back cover. All are sized at 12x12 and you can combine two QPs to make a spread like the one above (depending on the number of siblings that you or your parents have). You can download everything here.

Now, that's how the front and back cover will look like in your project (just in case, you want to make a heritage book too). These pictures were taken during my maternal grandmother's funeral. Hmmm, I guess these two were the only pictures that all of us, 15 grandchildren and the other one, the four siblings (my mom, my uncle and my two aunts) were all together. That was 24 years ago (this was taken in 1984). Can you guess where am I in that picture?

I guess, that will be all for now. My blog looks crude right now but give me a month or so, I'll work on this.
