Gingerbread Christmas Freebie Kit

These are just a few elements but if you will download the other parts of the blog train, you'll have a mega kit. The download link is already fixed now but can anyone help or enlighten me on a certain matter. I can't upload in 4shared with firefox browser, so I switch to internet explorer. It worked. On the other hand, I can't copy (from 4shared) and paste (in my blog) the download link using internet explorer browser so I switch to firefox. This morning, I was thinking of copying by hand the download links in 4shared and type it here (I was using IE) but I tried to open my blog at firefox and it worked. Weird. So, what's wrong?

ADSDesigners March 2009 Collab Kit Freebie: Hurry Up & Get Here, Spring!

Busy...busy...busy... I've been so busy lately. There are several awards/challenge that were given to me lately and I'll just post and pass them on this week (hopefully)...in one post, LOL. So sorry for the delay.

Anyway, it's time again for another ADSD Collab kit and since I didn't have much time to do a mini or full kit, here's a little something that will surely look great with the other kits from this collab. They are my Spring Fairies Cluster Frames. These frames are big (width - 11 inches) at 300 DPI. I hope you like them.

Magicmaker Teddy Bears Freebies

I was supposed to give this Teddy Bears for magicmaker-scraps members when I posted the Sugar Shoppe kit last October 1. I have posted in my other blog the reason why I wasn't able to do so, LOL.

If you are collecting all the Sugar Shoppe kits from different ADSD member's site/blog, then you'll be able to make the Teddy Bear hold other elements from my fellow ADS Designer's kit. Unlike the ones in my Sugar Shoppe Kit, the Teddy Bears here are bare (they don't have dresses, LOL) so you can freely dress them up like I did. Their arms are also in separate png files so you can let them hold any stuff you want. You can also recolor them or flip one of the Teddy Bears horizontally if you want.

Please take note that the entire set of Teddy Bears are exclussively for Magicmaker-Scraps members only. I hope no one will get upset since the set is originally for them and I just decided to give one as a freebie-for-all today.

I love grab bags, so I won't tell you which one of them is the freebie and which two are for members only. Surprise!

Good News and Cinder's Dream Charm Freebie

Cinders Dream Parts 1 and 2 had more than 900 downloads in two days when I terminated the download link. I was ecstatic with all your lovely comments and as I told you in my previous post I was inspired to make Cinder's Dream in pastel colors. In that two days as well, there were people who bought the Baby Book QPs at magicmaker-scraps . I was elated to the brim. What a great blessing and answered prayer for me.

Now, just this morning before we went to church, I opened my mail and guess what I've got? It's a very lovely charm made by a special friend, Lynette. When I saw that charm, I quickly fell in love with it. I was thinking, why didn't I thought of that? It's so beautiful and dainty. Anyway, Lynette told me I can give it as freebie add-on to Cinder's Dream. So that's good news number 1.

For good news number 2, I'm re-opening Cinder's Dream links again and that will stay that way until there's someone who's interested to grab it, LOL. Good news number 3, I will not sell it anymore, with 900+ who got it as a freebie, I've lost perpective buyers...hehehe, joke only.
Actually there are three real reasons why I made that decison. First, I have received a great blessing by having some people buy my stuffs at magicmaker-scraps . I'm not a designer, I just make digital scrapbooking stuffs but there are those who believe in my work and have shed out some bucks to buy my items...what can you say to that? So, don't thank me for that good news, thank those who bought my stuffs (they know who they are).

The second reason is that most people who downloaded Cinder's Dream and generously left comments were "grannies" and they were thinking how happy their grandkids would be with this kit. As a little girl I was often called "ugly duckling" by other children but I'm surrounded with a lot of lola--that's how we call grannies or nana in the Philippines. These lolas were my own grandmothers, neighbors, relatives and my parents' friends who would always say I'm beautiful. In fact, most of them call me "Miss Universe" (though I was fully aware that it was only an act of reverse psychology to encouraged me (LOL). Their words would always sound music to my ears.

Anyway, both my grandmothers (my father and mother's side) were gone now. I still have another living grandma who is actually my grandfather's sister--Lola Viring--who is very dear to me. In fact, I can ascribe to her why I grew up into a beautiful swan, ROFL. She helped me built up my self-confidence. She would always say, I have brains, and that's more important because "if you have brains you can develop inner beauty which will give you a glow of real visual beauty" and then she would have me memorized a quote in a poster..."beauty passes with the changing season except the heart where true beauty remains." She explained that, "having a beautiful heart" or good character is more lasting--it will never fade away. Hahaha, when I got older, I got to think what my lola really meant with those words which she was able to deliver without hurting my feelings. In other words, these are simply what she meant "Okay, here's the truth...you're not really beautiful my dear one, so just concentrate on your brains and character so that there will be something good that will come out of you."

Another thing that lola Viring would always remind me was to walk with poise, talk with charm, and act with grace...but I'm clumsy, I talk so fast and most of the time I stammer but when I'm with her, you might think I've just graduated from the National Institute for Princessess, LOL.

Anyway, I can write the whole day about me and my lola Viring. But I'll reserve that to my next posts. Let's just go back to my second and third good news. Grandma, granny, nana, lola or amma--whatever way they are called in different languages--they are so dear to my heart. My Mom is a already a grandma now and her grandkids love her so much and she always takes care of them a lot. Grandmas can leave a great impact to young girls' lives just like those lolas have done to me. I will let that Cinder's Dream Kit available if only for all the grannies who want to make their little grandchildren happy.

The third reason why I'm making the link available is for the Stay-at-Home-Moms/Wives (SAHM/W) like me. And there are a lot of you you leave comments to my blogs on how much you appreciate them--whenever, you leave a message here, I go to your profile and visit your blog. I wish I can do that to those who also leave their comments at 4shared. Anyway, I understand that we may want to spend some bucks for kits that we want but there our times that our budget is tight. That's also the reason why I make my kits S4H/O friendly so that you can use it for your small businesses and when you have earned some money from it, one day, you might want to have a PTU (pay to use) kit--and you might consider browsing my stuffs for sale, LOL. So, I'll just give them as freebies so that you can make your little girl and at the same time you can use it for your S4H projects to earn some money.

You can make stuffs too from Cinder's Dream.

Lynette's charm from Cinder's kit was also another factor why I have reconsider opening the link. You see she was sick the past few days and had missed part 1. When I saw what she did this morning, it made me think, why would I restrict other people to make wonderful element add-on like this. So, if you made QPs, bragbooks and derivative element add-ons like this charm out of Cinder's Dream, you can post it in your blog and let other download them--just inform me and give me the link so that I can also post the link here and other scrapper who already have Cinder's Dream can get what you've made. As much as possible, I would want it to be S4H/O friendly as well, so that others will benefit more from it. We live in a symbiotic community, aren't we?

Wow! whenever I'm inspired to write, you really need to brace yourself as my post become so long and I can tire you eyes as you read my long post. I'm sorry about that.

Since Cinder's Dream will no longer be for sale, I hope you can visit magicmaker-scraps and can link it to you blog, so that others who might be interested with my QPs can somehow know about it. Thank you in advance if you'll do such a favor.

Here's now is your freebie as you download them, Lynette’s Photo Art site. I’m sure, you’ll love what you’ll see there.

Box/es Freebie

For some time now, I wanted to do something 3D. My first attemp was for a bragbook that I did for Netta's Dragon Vengeance Kit. It took me several hours to do a one page bragbook. We're supposed to watch a DVD that night but I just can't get it right until DH got impatient and just went to sleep. Everytime, I'm doing a project whether in writing or digiscrapping, he's always my loving critic. He tells me how I could improve my work. When I did the 3D bragbook page, he kept telling me that I have a wrong perspective that's why it looked unrealistic...he explained to me something like it's a plane, etc...he even did some illustrations. LOL, I just couldn't get it. I want to try my hands on it and see how my brain will process things. My husband is an engineer and he's the only one who can explain Math to me in the way I can fully understand--(I wish he were my Math teacher when I was in college, hehehe). But the "perspective thingy" was really too hard for me. He said I have to know the concept first before I could do it perfectly, but then when I showed him what I did the following morning, I got his approval (he's always a big fan of my work).

Now, here's another project that I have in mind for a long time now: a box or a stacked of boxes. I saw them in some LOs and I just want to have one (actually, I have one already that I got as a prize when I did a challenge at Ksellman but I wanted something that has a different perspective...Oh! here goes that perspective thingy again). Too bad hubby is not here. He's still out of the country. It took me half day to just do this box. I would want to send it to DH to know what he has to say about it before I post it here. However, I'm satisfied with this one and I think he'll also agree that I did it right this time. Some people may have other idea of how a box should look like but for me it looks like box. LOL. Anyway, DH says I have low EQ, he's right coz I just can't wait to share it with you.

Please tell me gently what you think about this one and PLEASE if you will use this box in your LO can you kindly go back to my blog and leave a comment to link your LO. I would appreciate it so much.

Freebie: Choco Box

Yup! it's not yet Friday but I have an out-of-the-blue freebie. I wanted to join DSO's June Ad Challenge. I love the pink ChocoBox in that Ad. I tried to take several photos of a ChocoBox but I'm not satisfied with how they looked. So, I just decided to try making one in photoshop and voila, I was so happy with the result. If any of you would want to join that challenge you can use this ChocoBox as well.

The layout that I made was something I really would want to do for a long time, that is to make a gallery of our baby pictures (me, my siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews). But finding their baby pictures is such a difficult task so I better start with what is available in my photo album. As you can see, these are not baby pictures but a toddlers' galore (photos of my nieces and nephews). Well, I'll make a babies galore one of these days--when my baby photos collection is already complete.
